I actually don't know who I hate more. Korn or Evanescence. Both are just fucking terrible. Amy Lee is a total moron who's stolen the rights to her band from her ex. She is an untalented pop singer with handlers that sell her as a "goth" act. Its fucking pathetic. I can't believe people are too blind to see what she openly admits man. I mean its not like she's even trying to hide the fact its fake ass shit that mostly she doesn't even write anymore. Just listen to Miley Cyrus its the same fucking thing. Pre-written pop songs marketed hoping that stupid young girls will buy it and make their boyfriends take them to the fucking show.
How god damn sad is that.
Evanescence is stupid music for stupid people. Do I think that all of their fans are idiots? Yes. Yes I do.

I can stand Lacuna Coil in really small doses, but I think they are over-rated and mediocre. Its pretty damn well produced though. They are a rip-off of early Moonspell with a chick singer, pointblank. (and yea I know Moonspell sucks. When they first came out they sounded TOTALLY different and made a few songs I liked in High School over 10 years ago... all on the Butterfly Effect album).

Korn is just terrible. They started really damned strong, then changed after their first album. The change helped get this whole nu-metal thing off the ground.... which all needs to fucking die. NONE of those bands are worth shit. While I'm at it, fuck Disturbed, fuck ShineDown, fuck Seether, fuck Saliva, fuck Nonpoint, fuck Limp Bizkit, fuck ANY AND EVERY band played on "octane" on XM radio, fuck EVERY "aggro rock" or "nu metal" band. Its all fucking terrible.
I did like the first Korn album because Ross Robinson was REALLY trying to fucking nail the J.K. Broadrick recording style... just minimal and desolate with non-metal drumming. Godflesh did it better, plain and simple. Ross was obsessed with that sound in the early 90s. He did the Fear Factory demo's like that. Hell they introduced him to Korn. A meeting that fucked up about 15 years of music! And that Daddy song... that's what propelled them into fame. Then it turns out that his dad never touched him. And manages the band and all the fan stuff. So how bout that? Who wants to listen to him cry for 10 minutes anyway. 10 minutes... that's like half the Misfits Earth A.D. album. Cept I knew when they wrote a song about making brain cells pop... they weren't claiming they really could do it. See? That's the kind of honesty I can get behind.

And I'm currently listening to Bob Dylan - Time are a changing.
New show material much? I like early Korn. Maybe the first couple of albums. Lacuna Coil is ok. I love Godflesh. You can throw system of a down into that bunch because their first... I'll say 2 albums were great. The last two are just kind of annoying. They've always been political in their lyrics but they just got preachy. Though, I'll admit I'll blast a little "post grunge" music now and then. Like seether, chavelle, or three days grace. Mainly because I grew up with that on the radio and it reminds me of a few good times I had back then.

Godflesh = one of my alltime favorite bands. That is what I'm currently listening to. Hell my band covers "Frail" from Songs of Love and Hate (awesome song).
SOAD, yea I agree. I mean I liked the first two and that b-sides album alot... but the double cd that followed could have been a mindblowing single album. Coulda. Woulda. Shoulda.

This may get blasted on a future show.

Sterile Prophet and Angel Domain are two of my top ? songs.

I first heard them cover AC/DC's "For those about to rock" on a Industrial tribute album. I later downloa-er... aquired a good collection of their music. I have Hymns, Songs of Love and Hate, and Love and Hate In Dub.

I also like Slipknots (waits for the hate-rant to begin).

Oh man, you are missing some of their best stuff. I've covered Angel Domain and Sterile Prophet in practice rooms in previous bands (only 3 songs by that band I've ever covered for the record)... I REALLY LOVE that album. Ive got a recording somewhere I did in my home studio of Angel Domain that's pretty damned tight.
Look for the EP SlaveState, the album Selfless, their first real album (ungodly crushing, one of the most disturbing things I've ever heard) called StreetCleaner. It just got reissued for like 9 bucks to buy, and it used to sell on ebay for like 50 bucks. They fucking annihilate SoLaH and Hymns as albums. They've got other releases, but those 3 are just must haves. OHOHOH and look for the Cold World single... its really good too.

Slipknot... well... I don't like anything they've done... but I don't hate them. I like some of their individual songs off the first 2 albums, I got so annoyed with their fans I quit looking into them at that point. Insanely talented drummer, singer has a good voice too.

I've heard a lot of their stuff actually I used to be a huge pirate. But I left that all behind in Vegas. I particularly like their cover of Killing Joke's "Requiem". Very bleak and just kills your sense of hope. Lol.

Their fans can't be any worse than the fags that follow ICP.
