Oh btw another annoying part of that job was keeping underage people out. Since the first level was 18+ and lower level was 21+. I meant the job at an "adult bookstore/sex shop/whatever" in general.

But wait, so, if you're not 21 yet, how are you employed there? You just work on the 1st level?
Probably same way you can waitress in a bar at 18 but have to be 21 to be a customer. Same thing with Strip clubs here once upon a time 18 to work 21 to be a patron o the arts

I see. That kind of thing wouldn't fly in Vegas. 21 means 21, period. But I suppose NY is different.

You can serve alcohol at 18, but need to be 21 to legally drink it.

Call bullshit all you want. They wont let you into bartending school under 21. In Vegas, in order to serve alcohol you have to be 21, though I think you might be able to work in a bar under 21, but you have to have a TAM card.
And if that's the case, Walmart is wasting LOTS of time cause the cashiers can't sell alcohol if they're under 21.

I know people that got carded under 21. The ABC card in some states will let you able to serve. You can serve alcohol in this state under 21 but you can't bar-tend until 21.
It changes state to state man.
Liquor laws are by state except for drinking age.

Oh well it seems odd to me. A ton of people I know work either as bartenders or cocktail waitresses.
It is funny how that stuff works in NYC, cocktail waitresses can make $100 a night in some bars and $1000 in others.

Strip clubs work like that too. All depends on the club (Clientele) and how well you hustle/wiggle

No. You need to be 18+ to work there. But it seems that every store is different. I do not work there anymore. I quit for my grades. I'm currently trying to find a job on campus or some along those same lines.
